TOUR SUMMERY

Day 1 : Arrive Istanbul
Welcome to your tour of Istanbul! The only city on earth that straddles two continents, a visit to Istanbul is truly a unique experience. Once you arrive at Istanbul International Airport, after clearing customs & immigration you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Late in the afternoon enjoy a cruise on the Bosphorus river. This cruise takes you along the magnificent Bosphorus, the waterway separating Europe from Asia. Along the shores there is a delightfully mixture of the past and the present, as well as the grand splendor and quaint beauty of the ancient wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses and small fishing villages and visit of Spice Market (closed on Sundays). Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Istanbul
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a half day city tour of Istanbul. Firstly we visit the magnificent Byzantine church of St Sophia, one of the finest architectural works in the world; this church has been nominated as the 8th wonder of the world by many historians. Then continue to the Blue Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Istanbul. Dating back to the 17th century, this is one of the principal adornments on the skyline of Istanbul and is also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets. We will also visit the Hippodrome, the former centre of sporting and political activities in Constantinople. During the visit you will be able to see the
Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi and the fountain of Willhelm II. Our final visit of the morning is to the Grand Bazaar, which in addition to its historical importance is a bazaar that will tempt you with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs. Evening at leisure Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Istanbul - Cappadocia
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today after breakfast transfer to the apt for morning flight to Kayseri, after clearing customs & Immigration you will be met by our local representative and transferred to Cappadocia. Visiting Kaymakli or Derinkuyu Underground City; carved out of rock and completely self contained. More than 200 people lived on each of seven floors with the last one 250 feet underground. Then see the citadel of Ortahisar and the old Cavusin Village and its cave houses. Lunch en route, Red Valley and a visit to Urgup Wine House. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 : Cappadocia
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today morning after breakfast visit Dervent Valley, Pasabagi Fairy Chimneys and Avanos Village. After lunch at a typical local restaurant Pigeon Valley and the natural citadel of Uchisar visited, followed by Goreme Open-Air Museum, which is full of pink, rose and white tapering columns. These tall free standing cones of stone curve and twist as if pulled from earth like taffy. Others are tall like fairy chimneys. The caves were settled in the 4th century as monasteries. Visit some caves on the cliffs to see Byzantine frescoes decorating early Christian churches. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5 : Depart Cappadocia / Kayseri / Istanbul
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be met by our local representative at the hotel lobby for transfer to the Kayseri to take morning flight back to Istanbul Airport.
